Every year during late spring and mid-autumn, Springbrook Hills sponsors a series of special weekend celebrations.

Known as MORELS & MORE, these fun-filled, fascinating and informative outings have become a popular annual draw for visitors from all over the country.

Patrons are treated to guided mushroom hunts, with emphasis on that delectable, edible delicacy, the Morel, during the fall weekends.  Guests learn how to identify and gather numerous exotic fungi - in particular, those sought after by gourmet chefs - and may help to prepare this northern Michigan specialty for featured dinner meals during the weekend.

Springbrook Hills staff co-ordinates these festive and educational weekends with the Leelenau Peninsula Vintner's Association, whose award-winning libations  are generously show-cased during a wine-tasting "happy hour" before Saturday and/or Sunday night's dinner.

A sumptuous spread of delicious food and wines amid the beautiful, flowering hill country of northern Michigan -- what more could one want in a weekend get-away?

FALL MUSHROOM MANIA dates for this (2007) season:  September 7-9, September 21-23, and September 28-30, 2007.

A complete package, for $197.00, includes two nights' lodging in convenient vacation homes, guided mushroom hunting & identification, all meals featuring wild mushroom dishes, and fine Michigan wines with the Saturday evening dinner.

Groups of 6 or more: $185.00 per person.   If no lodging required: $145.00.

Extra night's lodging is available for $25.00 per person
